Match Preview

Real Madrid will aim to secure back-to-back victories when they visit Las Palmas in Thursday's La Liga match at Estadio Gran Canaria. Following a solid 3-0 win against Real Valladolid, Los Blancos are looking to continue their strong start to the season.

The summer brought significant changes to Real Madrid's squad, including the retirement of Toni Kroos and the high-profile signings of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick. Mbappe made an immediate impact by scoring in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta BC, but he has yet to find the net in La Liga.

Real Madrid's league campaign began with a 1-1 draw against Mallorca, followed by a commanding victory over Valladolid, where Federico Valverde, Brahim Diaz, and Endrick all contributed to the scoreline. This win extended Real Madrid's unbeaten run in La Liga to 34 matches, a streak dating back to their last defeat against Atletico Madrid in September 2023.

Las Palmas, under new manager Luis Carrion, have had a challenging start to the season. After a 2-2 draw in their opener, they suffered a 2-1 loss to Leganes, extending their winless streak in La Liga to 16 games. Despite the difficult start, Carrion will be looking to turn things around against the reigning champions.

Real Madrid will be without Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, and Eduardo Camavinga due to injuries, while Jesus Vallejo remains a doubt. Ferland Mendy is expected to return from suspension, with Lucas Vazquez, Luka Modric, and Brahim Diaz also in contention to start. Las Palmas will be missing Adnan Januzaj and Pejino, with Fabio Gonzalez's availability uncertain due to an ankle injury.

Given Real Madrid's recent form and their strong record against Las Palmas, they will be confident of securing all three points in Gran Canaria.
